چکیده

The highlight summarizes Cheng et al .’s work on fabricating CdS/polymer S-scheme photocatalyst for efficient H 2 production. intimate CdS-polymer binding forms a sturdy heterojunction and the photocatalytic mechanisms are profoundly investigated by in-situ characterization.

Electron transfer theory and its inception.

It is a pleasure to introduce this issue on electron transfer processes. The field has developed greatly and in many different directions not envisioned in the late 1940s. The modern electron transfer era began at that time in the form of studies on the simplest class of reactions in all of chemistry, isotopic exchange reactions of the electron transfer type. In their simplest form no chemical ...

Directionality of Ultrafast Electron Transfer in a Hydrogen Evolving Ru−Pd-Based Photocatalyst

Directionality of electron transfer and long-lived charge separation are of key importance for efficient photocatalytic water splitting. Knowledge of the processes that follow photoexcitation is essential for the optimization of supramolecular assembly designs in order to improve the efficiency of photocatalytic hydrogen generation. Photoinduced intramolecular electron transfer processes within...

Photocatalyst size controls electron and energy transfer: selectable E/Z isomer synthesis via C-F alkenylation.

Photocatalytic alkene synthesis can involve electron and energy transfer processes. The structure of the photocatalyst can be used to control the rate of the energy transfer, providing a mechanistic handle over the two processes. Jointly considering catalyst volume and emissive energy provides a highly sensitive strategy for predicting which mechanistic pathway will dominate. This model was dev...

On the mechanism of electron transfer in complex iii of the electron transfer chain.

Complex III of the mitochondrial electron transfer chain is an asymmetric unit with a diameter of 80-100 Al and a molecular weight of about 300,000.2 Preparations of the complex contain 20-30 per cent by weight of lipid and (in the presence of bile salts) are water soluble.3 Under appropriate conditions (involving dilution of the bile salts), the units aggregate into vesicular membranes.4 The c...
